Disco is making an underground comeback as younger crowds around the world embrace the kitschy mirror balls and synthesized "plastic pleasures" of dance parties. Only this time it's "nu-disco," a darker and sleeker Euro-pop-inspired sound with the same fun energy and a touch of irony toward disco's camp cheesiness. Beta is an excellent descriptive writer, but the article may only be of particular interest to followers of the genre or those still mourning disco's demise.
